Dahl is released today. It tells the story of Wyrd John, a seeker, a magician, a free-thinker and when Fate conspired against him, he ended up a killer.
The Old English word, “wyrd” meant that which is being revealed and is the premise of the book.
Now the once-free pursuer of knowledge is stuck in a jail cell waiting for death. His final hope is to be killed after all of his legal appeals expire – and not die – but be resurrected as a vampire.
Dahl stated that he did research of the Death Row prisoners and observed their need to write letters as a way of passing on their story. He then decides to use this for the back drop of the story and to allow Wyrd John an outlet to tell his story of the olde ways and to hopefully resurrect into a vampire.
The title of the book is as interesting as well. As you read the story you will read that the title, “Blood Calls to Blood” is a saying John’s mother used. She is a self-proclaimed hedge-witch who used her cauldron to cook dinner at times and used her coffee- table as an altar.
If you live in Lexington and would like to purchse “Blood Calls to Blood”, the only option that you have is to visit the author’s website here or the publisher’s website here. It is not available at Amazon.com or in stores at this time.
