Podcast Interview: Carl Gottlieb (Writer, JAWS)

In this Podcast episode, we revisit an in-depth conversation between Jud Meyers (co-creator of the Blastoff Podcast) and Carl Gottlieb, the award-winning screenwriter of the movie JAWS, one of the most famous films in history.

In addition to his collaborations with Steven Spielberg, Carl worked with Steve Martin on the screenplay for his hit comedy, The Jerk

He’s directed dozens of films and television shows and he’s been directed by the likes of Robert Altman, John Landis, Gary Marshall and James Burrows. He’s also worked as an actor with some of the most famous (and infamous) performers in modern history (Richard Dreyfuss, Dan Ackroyd, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robin Williams, Paul Simon, Carrie Fisher, David Letterman) and even produced one of the most influential musical concerts of all time, bringing together Neil Young, Crosby Stills and Nash, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez and a host of others.

Have a listen, won’t you? After all these years, it’s still not safe to go back in the water…
